“We’d like to re-imagine this based on what the residents want,” Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness said.
A developer has dropped its plans for a controversial 10-acre apartment community planned near downtown Fishers.project and seek another development deal, though with more upfront input from neighbors this time.
“It was going it the wrong direction,” Fadness said in a video conference. “We decided it was not in the best interest of the community.” Though the land is pocked with plenty of old trees, Fadness said planners have ruled out putting park there because it prefers something that will generate tax revenue.
