Devastated family thank those who tried to save grandad after tragic collision near M65
The family of a Padiham man who died in a crash on Saturday has thanked all those that stopped to help him.
The driver of the Mercedes suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not said to be life-threatening. In a tribute to Mr Boothby, his family said: “We would like to thank the witnesses that stopped to help our dad and the emergency services that attended to him on Saturday.
