ESPN Sources: The Detroit Pistons have landed on Trajan Langdon to become the franchise’s new President of Basketball Operations and sides are beginning work on a deal for New Orleans’ GM to oversee organization.Langdon is a former NBA player, having a brief stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1999 to 2002. After that, he spent nearly a decade playing professionally overseas.
Langdon has spent the past five years building a well-regarded Pelicans’ roster under President David Griffin. Langdon previously worked under Sean Marks with the Brooklyn Nets and played three seasons with the Cavs in the NBA.Seeing the talented roster the Pelicans have built in recent years, Langdon has a track record of success in the front office. This is likely why the Pistons targeted him, as they are looking to take a step forward with their young core.
