A Detroit judge who ordered a teenager into jail clothes and handcuffs while she was on a field trip to his courtroom will be off the bench while undergoing “necessary training.' That's the message from the chief judge at Detroit's 36th District Court.

King didn’t like it. But he said it was her attitude that led to the jail clothes, handcuffs and stern words. King has been removed from his criminal case docket and will undergo “necessary training to address the underlying issues that contributed to this incident,” said 36th District Court Chief Judge William McConico.
