SAN ANTONIO, TX - NOVEMBER 12: Linebacker Trey Moore #31 of the UTSA Roadrunners celebrates after stripping the ball from Landry Lyddy #18 of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the second half at Alamodome on November 12, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. After battling the flu through the week, UTSA receiver Tykee Ogle-Kellogg needed a pregame IV Saturday to be healthy enough to play about half the Roadrunners’ snaps.
For Traylor, the consistent turnover through the year has made the Roadrunners’ achievements even more remarkable. With two games remaining in the regular season, UTSA’s record in C-USA remains unblemished, putting the program in position to host a second straight championship game in their bid for a repeat title.
Through each setback, as well as “painful” nonconference losses to Houston and Texas, Traylor said the Roadrunners “just keep finding a way,” displaying qualities of resilience, courage and a belief in the program’s culture. Quarterback Frank Harris said the Roadrunners need to “keep being desperate” rather than potentially taking their success for granted.
