So it is fitting that a companion tome to a retrospective of his career runs 496 pages and isn’t a traditional exhibition catalogue. The show, titled “Virgil Abloh: ‘Figures of Speech,’ ” opens June 10 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
