Appeal hearings will commence within 10 days following receipt of the notice of appeal, but the timeframe can be extended upon the agreement of both parties.The appeal will ultimately be heard by either Goodell or his designee and can be extended, reduced or upheld.
In other words, Watson’s fate could still be in Goodell’s hands. Once an appeal decision is issued, it is binding.
