KOTA TINGGI: Police detained four local men concerning the brawl during the Desaru International Bike Week after a video of the incident went viral.
Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the suspects, in their 20s and 50s, were apprehended between 1.30pm and 7.50pm on Sunday to assist with investigations.
Supt Hussin added that those involved in the incident could be seen throwing plastic chairs at each other and using wooden sticks as weapons. “We have opened an investigation paper on the incident and are identifying the individuals involved in the fight," said Supt Hussin. Supt Hussin urged those with information on the incident to contact the Kota Tinggi Police District headquarters at 07-883 1222 or call the investigating officer Asst Supt Ng Han Shoong at 016-548 8810 or go to the nearby police station.
