The special session to help the Trump administration is in contrast to actions by several Democrat-led states, such as California, which are preparing to fight the incoming administration on many key issues, including deportation.Florida’s special session on Jan. 27 will come a month and a half before the regular 2025 session begins on March 4. Republicans hold supermajorities in both chambers of the state legislature.
