Jim McGuinness takes on the Foyle Hospice Male Walk/Run on Saturday in memory of brother Noel

A Derry man has spoken of his shock after his brother discovered he had multiple cancerous tumours after going to hospital to have an earlier, successful operation reversed.

He explained: “After having some symptoms Noel went to his GP and subsequently was referred to Altnagelvin Hospital to see a consultant. Jim continued: “The Foyle Hospice nurses were amazing and were coming to the house to keep him as pain-free as possible.” Noel had an identical twin brother Liam and they were looking forward to celebrating their 50th birthday this November.
