Derek Hough recalled wife Hayley Erbert’s health scare in a sneak peek of the package from an October episode of ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Before performing in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom with his wife, Derek Hough looked back at Hayley Erbert’s health scare.
The video cuts to Erbert on their wedding day, proclaiming, “I have always known it was you, Derek.” Confetti shot around the couple after they exchanged their vows. “Living out our dreams on stage, doing what we love with the person that we love, and then it all just came to a screeching halt in the most devastating way,” Hough says.
“The doctor came to me and he said that she has a severe brain bleed, so we have to operate right now,” Hough recalls through tears. “He said that she might not make it. And that even if she does make it, she won’t be the same person.”
