THERE is plenty at stake when the Manchester derby kicks off tomorrow at the Theatre of Dreams.
Host United are chasing fourth spot and with it, a Champions League place next season, while neighbours City will want to cement second spot and also try to win a cup treble having already bagged the Carabao Cup last week.
United’s new buy Bruno Fernandes looks to have added a much-needed spark to the team with his creativity and eye for goal. The 25-year-old has made an instant impact for United and scored for a third straight game in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Everton. “I still think he can get even better. He has hit the ground running which is what you want, especially after signing in the January transfer window because it doesn’t always happen. But he’s fantastic and I’m pleased to see him doing so well.”
Arsenal will be looking to continue their recent good run in the league as they entertain London neighbours West Ham today. The Gunners will be boosted after booking their ticket to the FA Cup last eight when they beat Portsmouth on Monday and the win was timely as they were unexpectedly dumped out of the Europa League last week.
