Deputies searching for witness, victim in deadly Santaquin incident. Investigators of the Utah County Officer Involved Critical Incident Team have requested public assistance locating the individual pictured below.
Deputies said that security footage captured at the local Maverick on May 5 showed a male suspect attempting to take a silver sedan at a gas pump shortly after Santaquin Police Sgt. Bill Hooser was killed.The driver of the sedan, shown in the photographs provided, was putting gas into the car while it happened.
Through the security footage provided, police said it appeared that the driver had a verbal exchange with the suspect. Deputies have been working to identify and speak with the driver of the sedan, but have not been successful thus far.The person of interest was seen using a crutch to walk and had a ponytail.
