Sen. Amy Klobuchar D-Minn., said the Trump Administration announced Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation raids in order to"make news" and scare the public.
The senator from Minnesota said ICE and White House officials aim to create fear, distract the public from other issues and use immigrants as"political pawns." Beginning on Sunday, federal immigration officers were scheduled to sweep across what was originally 10 cities -- San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Denver, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Baltimore, Chicago and Atlanta -- to arrest about 2,000 undocumented immigrants, as outlined by Trump.

She reminds voters at each stop that she's from the Midwest, is the first woman to represent her state in the U.S. Senate and knows how to work with Republicans.
