The Department of Education (DepEd) reminded all schools offering basic education of the strict implementation of the cut-off age for incoming Kindergarten pupils this coming School Year (SY) 2023-2024. ManilaBulletin READ:
“Authorities of public and private schools are instructed to strictly enforce and implement the kindergarten cut-off age,” DepEd said in a memorandum issued last week.
DepEd said that the school “may consider learners entering kindergarten who will turn five years old by the end of August.” Meanwhile, for schools commencing their school year in July, Kindergarten learners should be five years old by July 1 and the extension period shall be until Sept. 30. The department issued the reminder as it conducts the Early Registration for the incoming school year from May 10 to June 9.https://mb.com.
The conduct of Early Registration for the incoming school year marks the return of face-to-face transactions.
