Citing data from the Education Cluster Report on schools affected by the shear line and LPA as of Jan. 04, DepEd said that 42 schools were reported to have sustained infrastructure damages.Meanwhile, DepEd’s latest data showed that seven schools are being used as Evacuation Centers . Currently, one school is in Siargao; one school is in Surigao del Norte, and five schools in Oroquieta City serve as temporary shelters for affected individuals and families.
