Students who are not sick and well enough should do some self-study during the break, the Department of Education said.

Due to the pandemic, DepEd has been implementing the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan since School Year 2020 -2021. To ensure the safety of students and teachers, schools were closed and face-to-face classes were prohibited. While they stay at home, students continue to learn their lessons through printed or offline Self-Learning Modules ; online classes; radio and television-based instructions, and a combination of these modalities under blended learning.

In a public briefing last week, DepEd Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan said that students who are not sick can review their lessons even classes have been suspended.
