Watch also in iWant or TFC.tv The Department of Education said Monday it might approve the application of some schools to hold online graduation rites in areas that were under lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"If it will not involve coming together and congregating face-to-face in a certain place e puwedeng payagan siguro iyon ," said DepEd Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan. Graduation rites were supposed to be held between April 13 and 17. However, the lockdown of some 50 million residents of Luzon to slow COVID-19's spread was extended until April 30, he said. The pandemic also delayed the final exam for this school year, said Malaluan.
