El Departamento de Justicia y un grupo de defensa de los derechos civiles presentaron el jueves notificaciones jurdícas, informando su intención de apelar la reciente sentencia de un juez federal que declaró ilegal una versión revisada de un programa que impide la deportación de cientos de miles de migrantes traídos a Estados Unidos cuando eran niños.
Se prevé que el proceso de apelación, incluida la presentación de informes jurídicos, los probables argumentos orales ante los jueces del Quinto Circuito y la emisión de un fallo, se lleve meses en completarse. Pero a la larga se estima que el destino del programa DACA acabe por tercera vez ante la Corte Suprema federal.
