BREAKING: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen will be leaving administration, Trump says.
Kevin McAleenan, the current U.S. Customs and Border Protection commissioner, will become the acting secretary for DHS, Trump announced.
....I am pleased to announce that Kevin McAleenan, the current U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, will become Acting Secretary forNielsen previously served at the Department of Homeland Security as the chief of staff for John Kelly before he left to become the White House chief of staff. She followed him to the White House, where she worked as an assistant to the president and the principal deputy chief of staff.
