Most of the metro area will probably see between 1 and 4 inches of accumulation, with a slightly higher chance for higher totals south and west of downtown Denver. The foothills will get a bit more, especially above 7,000 feet in elevation. The majority of the snow will be done by sunrise on Saturday, but it'll stay mainly gray with a chance for light rain or snow through the day. Highs will be stuck in the 40s again on Saturday.60% chance of 2 to 4 inchesBe aware that accumulating snow, ice, or wind could cause limbs to break and fall at any time.Do not attempt to shake snow off a tree if a utility line is going through its branches or is within contact distance.
If the tree is clear of utility lines, use a broom to remove as much snow as possible from branches by brushing off or gently shaking. Avoid large, rapid movement as this could cause the limb to break. If it appears the tree has fallen on powerlines, it's best to leave it alone and wait for the utility to come and clear it.
