Sperry, a four-star recruit, had been committed to OU since March 13, 2023.
Sperry has thrown for 1,973 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 57% of his passes and throwing six interceptions, and he is Guyer’s second-leading rusher with 652 yards.Sperry is rated the 24th-best quarterback in the nation and the 36th-best overall recruit in Texas in the Class of 2025. The only quarterback ranked ahead of him inarea recruiting rankings is five-star Alabama pledge Keelon Russell from back-to-back 6A Division I state champion Duncanville.
