Eleven states in the south of the country were put under dense fog advisories in the early hours of Wednesday.These included Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. The NWS said that, in some areas, visibility could be reduced to one-quarter mile or less, and at times could even fall to near-zero.The service advised drivers to 'slow down, use low beam headlights, and increase your distance between you and the vehicle in front of you if you encounter fog while driving.'The NWS added that drivers should consider delaying travel.Outlets across Florida reported on the advisory, which, according to the NWS, is issued when dense fog develops sees 'visibilities frequently drop to one-quarter of a mile or less.'Jonathan Kegges, meteorologist at News 6 WKMG, on X: 'Hot off the press: Dense fog advisory for ALL of Central Florida.
