The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has ordered the temporary closure of a resort in the Chocolate Hills in Bohol for operating without the necessary permit.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources ( DENR ) and the Department of Tourism (DOT) are currently involved in a controversy regarding a resort in the Chocolate Hills in Bohol . The DENR has issued a temporary closure order against the resort in September 2023. In a statement released by the DENR on Wednesday, it was stated that the operation of the resort was halted in September due to operating without the necessary permit.
The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Paquito Melicor has been instructed to inspect the facility to ensure compliance with the temporary closure order
