''It was a bit like kissing a cat’s bum.’ - Ladies and Gentleman, Denise Welch.
The always-candid former Coronation Street star Denise Welch has had her fellow Loose Women panelists in stitches on today’s show as she described the worst kiss of her life – and it took place in Weatherfield.
She then went on to describe how, when shooting a storyline in 1997 in which her character Natalie Horrocks had a torrid affair with mild-mannered mechanic Kevin Webster . Kevin was married to Sally at the time in a partnership that was as close to rock-solid as soaps ever get, so the whole story was a huge scandal.
‘You’ve got to kiss me so we convince the audience that this was the most passionate affair that makes you leave Sally,’ she said she told him.
