Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle has broken three box office records since the feature entered Western theaters nearly two weeks ago. The film is the first installment of the anime's adaptation of the Final Battle arc, and its box office numbers indicate that it has more than surpassed its predecessor, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train, in terms of ticket sales.
In a recent report, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle's U.S. gross of $104 million made it the highest-grossing anime film of all time in the country. Additionally, its global gross of over $555 million at the worldwide box office enabled the film to become the"highest-grossing anime film of all time" in just two weekends, as well as the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is the first of three installments adapting the final chapters of the Demon Slayer manga, where the Demon Slayer Corps confronts Muzan and his demon army. While the official release dates for Parts 2 and 3 have yet to be fully announced, speculation suggests they may be released in 2027 and 2029. Additionally, Crunchyroll has confirmed that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will not be released on its streaming platform this year. The only way fans can currently access the movie is by watching it in their local cinema. What Other Box Office Records Did Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Break? The film has surpassed many box office hits during its Japanese theatrical run, and it's now the second-highest-grossing film in the country, dethroning Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away before it entered the Western market.
