The Democratic Socialists of America has released its novel platform,wHich calls for the abolition of the Electoral College and the establishment of a prime minister role. The platform aims to thrust the organization into the mainstream and project the party vision outward with analysis and demands. the DSA upstarts Darializa Avila Chevalier, Claire Valdez, and Melat Kiros are all but certain to join Novel York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as prominent elected socialists.

That electoral momentum loomed large for the DSA as it released its new platform, which members hoped would thrust the organization into the mainstream. The DSA platform also calls to abolish the Electoral College, which members criticized as anti-majoritarian.
In April, the last hereditary members from the Residence of Lords in the U.K. stepped down and Parliament remains bicameral, though the House of Lords now consists entirely of appointed members
