The committee is looking to formally nominate Biden before the August convention, according to Axios.
The Democratic National Committee is trying to accelerate the process to nominate President Joe Biden , according toState party chairs will reportedly receive training on how to securely conduct electronic voting for the nomination next week. The vote will likely open on July 29 and end by Aug. 5, according to the outlet.
"We look forward to nominating Joe Biden through a virtual roll call and celebrating with fanfare together in Chicago in August alongside the 99 percent of delegates who are supporting the Biden-Harris ticket,” Harrison said in a statement.
