A teacher at St. Francis of Assisi in Delaware County and a student were injured after police say a car incident occurred Monday afternoon.
A teacher at St. Francis of Assisi in Delaware County was injured after the school says she was hit by a car Monday afternoon. In a post to Facebook, the school said one of its teachers was struck by a vehicle while she was helping the car line for students after school. SKYFOX was over the scene of the incident which occurred outside in the parking lot of Saint Kevin Parish School in Springfield.Springfield police say the teacher was found wedged underneath a vehicle.
One student was also injured, after they say she was knocked down while getting into a stopped vehicle that was struck.Police say two other students were treated by medics at the scene. "Parents, police and fire responders acted quickly to remove the teacher who was taken to a hospital for treatment," said a statement posted to social media by the Springfield Police Department.The driver in the incident remained at the scene and police say they were cooperative.
