A Republican lawmaker in Delaware is working to resurrect the death penalty following the conviction in the murder of a police corporal.
Passing that piece of legislation would be no easy task in President Joe Biden's home state, which has not seen a death penalty since the State Supreme Court ruled the sentence unconstitutional in 2016. "Corporal Heacook didn't die in vain, and we continue to address this issue, hoping to bring it to the house floor for legislators to make that decision," the lawmaker said.
