The Ohio Department of Transportation is actively seeking solutions to improve safety at a hazardous intersection in Delaware County , where Norton Road meets Highway 23., with 32% resulting in injuries.

"I worry about somebody coming up that road too fast very often and hitting me while I'm sitting there waiting for the light," she said. Stafford noted the frequent sound of sirens in the area, saying, "When I'm outside in the summertime, it isn't unusual to hear sirens going down there at all." Matt McGuire, ODOT's Public Information Officer for District 6, highlighted the safety issues at the intersection. "This is one of those locations that has advanced more due to safety rather than congestion," he said. "You know we're on the northern end of 23; it isn't anODOT has proposed four options to alter the traffic pattern, with another option to keep the area the same, and held a public meeting to present these options and gather community feedback. "We'll collect all that and let people know what we found out, and then that will be incorporated into our decision-making process where we will eventually select one of these"I think it's great, I think it's necessary before anyone else gets killed down there," she said.
