MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Ronald dela Rosa took a swipe at President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s comment that some of the candidates running in this year's midterm elections were not qualified enough for the position but yet were allowed to file their certificates of candidacy.

Speaking at campaign kickoff of the Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan on Thursday, Dela Rosa referred to Marcos' remarks and suggested that the party should be called 'Team Suka .'Dela Rosa said a vinegar vendor should not stop himself from dreaming big.Dela Rosa said he was also a vinegar vendor once but he now has a masters degree, a doctorate in Philosophy, became chief of the Philippine National Police and now senator.
