Del Valle ISD continues partnership with Tesla

Del Valle ISD is planning to release students early on Thursday to accommodate for traffic the Giga Texas grand opening will bring in.

AUSTIN, Texas — Giga Texas, where Tesla’s headquarters are located, will host its grand opening on Thursday with 15,000 guests invited to attend the facility.What You Need To KnowIn the fall of 2022, Del Valle High School plans to add a manufacturing and P-Tech program in partnership with Tesla and ACCThe school district is located approximately five miles from Giga, Texas. District officials said it’s an opportunity for students to either work for Tesla or expose them to the tech industry.

Torrez started his role as chief workforce officer for Del Valle ISD in the spring of 2021. He works on building programs and curriculum with Tesla and the school district.
