The top U.S. defense official has ordered a review of U.S. programs that train foreign military personnel in the aftermath of the shooting rampage by a Saudi Arabian officer at an American base in Florida.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper said that he wants a review of the procedures used to scrutinize international military service members before they are allowed to join other foreign military personnel who come to the U.S. to train with the American military at bases and educational institutions.
