JOHOR BARU: The green light has been obtained for the construction of Hospital Sultanah Aminah 2 (HSA 2) on Defence Ministry land in Skudai.

Johor health and unity committee chairman Ling Tian Soon said the ministry has agreed to give away 28.33ha from its 202.34ha of land for the hospital."I visited the site with Health Minister Dr Zalina Mustafa last month, and ministry is currently drafting the plans," he told reporters after opening the state-level Wellness Month at the Hospital Sultanah Aminah Wellness Hub here on Friday .

Currently, the two hospitals here – Hospital Sultanah Aminah and Hospital Sultan Ismail – are operating at 90% of capacity with HSA being the second-busiest public hospital in the country after Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
