Officials say Deer Park ISD schools will reopen Monday following a tornado that left a trail of damage and knocked out power to some in the community.

The schools had been closed since, and the district said last week that power was out at several of their campuses and facilities. The city said Saturday that they were informed by the district’s superintendent that the schools will resume at regularly scheduled times on Monday, Jan. 30.This weekend, residents impacted by the tornado can stop by the Joint Disaster Assistance Recovery Center at the Pasadena Convention Center. It will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
