Deer feces in lettuce? Public health alert issued

The alert concerns ready-to-eat salads and wraps with meat and poultry that may contain contaminated lettuce.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Usually, our food-recall notices cover only items that are distributed in Ohio or nationally. But here’s a new one: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a public health alert for products that might be contaminated with deer feces.
