A new study by Gallup and the London School of Economics found that multinational organizations with decentralized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) teams reported greater business impact compared to those with centralized operations. The research, which analyzed over 100 large companies headquartered across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, revealed that 77% of companies had centralized DEI teams, but decentralized organizations showed stronger results.
When establishing DEI policies, leaders of multinational organizations have to consider an additional question: Should they centralize operations and run them out of headquarters?
