The Galaxy Z Flip 5G has just received the December security patch
. As per tradition, the company releases these patches on a monthly basis for all its devices, with of course the latest additions taking precedence over flagships from previous years. , but the update is finally officially available for download in the United States.
To check if the latest patch is available for download on your device, you can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Any pending updates that have not automatically downloaded will be listed there. This particular update bears the firmware version F707USQS2DUL1 in the United States, while for international users, the firmware version should show up as F707U1UES2DUL1.
As could be expected, the main function for the latest security patch—as with all previous monthly updates—is to fix the latest discovered bugs and vulnerabilities in the device. Apart from that, the update also brings improvements to device stability.5G was released in July of last year, a few months after the initial Galaxy Z Flip launch.
