Savannah, Georgia, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Wilmington, North Carolina, are among the cities projected to get over a foot of rain in their areas through Thursday.
Tropical Storm Debby has moved into Southern cities, bringing heavy rainfall which will likely result in flooding in multiple areas on Tuesday.FOX Weather reported that the NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center issued a Level 4 flood risk for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for parts of southeastern Georgia, eastern South Carolina and southeastern North Carolina.
Flash flood warnings were also issued in Savannah and Charleston, South Carolina, and other parts of coastal Georgia and South Carolina. Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported that Savannah and Charleston announced overnight curfews as the rainfall increased.
