The Michigan Democrat joined CNN after winning reelection in the Wolverine State over Republican challenger Heather Smiley. Though control of the House has yet to be decided, Rep. Dingell lamented projections that Republicans will control the White House and Senate. Rep. Dingell supported President Joe Biden following his disastrous presidential debate with President-elect Donald Trump. The stance was a controversial one given the number of Democrats calling for Biden to exit the race at the time.
