Peter Wierzba, design specialist for synthetic turf manufacturing company Tough Turtle Turf, told ABC News synthetic turf "just makes sense" for multi-use sports fields that see constant, year-round activity. The experiment was not peer-reviewed, meaning it did not go through a robust independent scientific review process and did not measure health risks.
