Don Gilet has taken over from Ralf Little on the hit BBC show Death in Paradise
Death in Paradise fans have spotted a link between the show's new detective, Don Gilet, and Midsomer Murders actor Neil Dudgeon. Earlier this year, it was announced that the former EastEnders baddie would be taking over from Ralf Little as the new Detective Inspector on the island of Saint Marie.
The summary for the episode stated: "Businessman Mark Adler is found dead in a cryotherapy facility associated with his formerly ailing rugby team, the Causton Lions, coached by Bill Viner, a former player his age, whose career was wrecked by a knee injury. Comparisons with another favourite detective show were spotted by another commenter who said: "I finally made the connection when he was in Midsomer Murders, the rugby episode."
Don Gilet, known for his work in soaps, had previously appeared in the fourth season of Death in Paradise as Andre Morgan, where he found himself in the hot seat as Kris Marshall's DI Humphrey Goodman's murder suspect.
