Here's how to enter deadmau5's PomegranateDJChallenge.
that dropped in May. Starting today and running through July 8, the contest is being hosted by Deadmau5 and Beatsource, the open-format music service from Beatport.
To enter, remixers are asked to film themselves performing their remix, and then to post the video to Instagram using to the hashtag #PomegranateDJChallenge and tagging @beatsourceofficial and @deadmau5. Videos must be 60 seconds or less. The competition starts Wednesday and closes on July 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Entries will be judged on creativity by the Beatsource team, and Beatsource and deadmau5 will announce the winner on July 15.
The prize, you ask? The first place winner will receive a $2,000 Apple gift card, with two second place winners receiving a one year subscription to Beatsource link., Beatsource provides open-format DJs with the music they need to play any event. The playlist-driven service features lists for hip-hop, R&B, Latino, electronic, radio hits, Southern hits, cumbia, Afrobeats and many other curated playlist assembled from both new and classic tracks.
