Flights scheduled to depart at 9:59 a.m. or later remain on schedule. LaGuardia has experienced four cancellations between 6 and 8:29 a.m. involving American and Delta airlines. Flights departing at 11:29 a.m. or later are currently listed as on schedule. Newark has recorded three cancellations between 7 and 9 a.m. affecting United Airlines. Flights departing at 11 a.m. or later are operating as planned. In contrast, Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., has not been impacted by the incident. Travelers are advised to confirm flight status with their respective airlines.American Airlines CEO Robert Isom released a video statement late Wednesday night expressing profound sorrow over the tragedy. 'This is a difficult day for all of us at American Airlines,' he stated. 'Our efforts are now completely focused on the needs of our passengers, crew members, partners, first responders, along with their families and loved ones.' Isom further disclosed that the airline is dispatching a team to Washington, D.C., and he will personally travel there. 'We are fully cooperating with the National Transportation Safety Board in its investigation and will continue to provide all the information we can,' he assured. Meanwhile, a dedicated conference room has been established at Reagan National Airport to provide support for passengers' family members. Some relatives were already at the airport awaiting their loved ones when news of the crash broke.
