Powerful blast hits mosque in western Kabul, killing at least 10 and wounding 15, Afghan official says
A powerful explosion at a Sunni mosque in the Afghan capital of Kabul has killed at least 10 people and wounded 15.
Besmullah Habib, deputy spokesperson for the interior ministry, said the blast had hit the Khalifa Sahib Mosque in western Kabul in the afternoon.The incident came just over a week after explosions in two northern Afghan cities killed over a dozen people. Last week's attacks, including one targeting a mosque at Mazar-e-Sharif, were claimed by an affiliate of the Daesh terror group.This is a developing story and will be updated.
