Several towns in the Karoo region of Western Cape, such as Prince Albert, Swartberg, Fraserburg, and surrounding areas, were severely hit by harsh weather a week ago.The brutal weather left some towns in the Karoo region without power supply, as electricity infrastructure crumbled under stormy weather conditions.Eskom said the storm damaged the entire infrastructure network, necessitating specialised heavy machinery and additional man power to be used to return supply to affected areas.
