AN unidentified man was found lifeless beside a sugarcane field in Barangay Tortosa, Manapla, Negros Occidental on Saturday, July 1. Manapla police chief Police Major Jaynick Bermudez said the victim’s hands were tied with packaging tape when found by a passerby.Police recovered from the crime scene two fired bullets of a .45 caliber firearm and a placard with words "Wag tularan, kawatan ako" .
Bermudez said the victim was aged around 35 to 40 and was wearing a black sando and a pair of blue shorts and had a tattoo on his left arm printed “Edgar Lusmenda.” However, despite this mark on the victim’s body, Bermudez said they still have to get information that could identify him.Thus, he believed that the victim could be from somewhere outside the town and was only dumped there.
