Duval County school leaders focused on student’s mental health during a workshop on Tuesday.
Hazel, a mental health platform, was expanded into 20 schools last year and in the upcoming school year it will be available in 30 schools.–
The district’s director of school behavioral health said there weren’t big changes to its mental health plan over the past year, although funding this year increased by a little less than $1 million with the hiring of additional school social workers. The DCPS director of school behavioral health said there’s about $8.8 million in funding for the upcoming school year.
