Buhangin Police Station under station commander Police Major Joenel S. Pederio seized a huge amount of suspected shabu weighing 6.5 grams with an estimated street value of P104,000 during a joint illegal drugs buy-bust operation held in Holy Trinity Village, Cabantian, Buhangin, Davao City on Septem
The said operation, launched with the support of the 1st City Mobile Force Company in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 11 , resulted in the apprehension of the suspect, Thomas Sual Canas a.k.a “Part,” 46-year-old from Monkayo, Davao de Oro.
Operatives also apprehended Rick Johnson Manigao Huerta, 31-year-old and construction worker and a resident of Prk 10, Mainit, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.The suspects will be charged for Violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. DCPO said in a statement that this operational success is another blow to the illegal drug trade which continues to thrive in the city despite severe consequences.
“It will further contribute to the safety and security of the city in general, its residents, and visiting individuals,” it said.
